Minecraft for the Nintendo Entertainment System
A downloadable resource pack
A 1.15/1.16 Resource Pack for Minecraft. Sticking to the limitations of the NES, such as a limited color pallete, limited graphics space, and 3 colors for everything.
It is also for use with optifine.
The Pack is currently being worked on, and will be done by either February or March.
This Pack features and will feature:
- Custom SFX
- Custom OST
- Custom Lighting (Optifine only)
- Custom Animations (Optifine only)
- Custom Skyboxes (Optifine only)
- Custom Shaderpack? (Optifine only)
The goal is to provide a look and feel that in and of itself is still minecraft, but still has homages to the 80's Home Console Classics, like Zelda 2, Mario, Megaman, and more.
The Original Sound Track will feature new songs.
The Overworld has a minimalist, happy sound.
The Nether has an underground funky sound much like Castlevania (It will even use the sound chip from Castlevania 3 for Japan!)
The End has a weird and atmospheric sound, like Metroid.
The music discs will feature jazzy and fun tunes. (all except 11)
The Bandcamp for the OST can be found here.
Give it a try and see what you think of it so far!

how to download
excellent texture pack
The texture pack broke because it does not show up and there was an error that the game could not get pack info.
Dang. Well, It hasn't been updated for quite a while. I'll look into it. What version were you using? If it was a 1.17 snapshot, that may be why its not showing up.
I opened 1.15.2 and 1.16.4 (in OptiFine), maybe the trouble was Optifine

Really cool textures, but how do I actually play the game? (I'm on Windows, if that affects anything.)
This is a resource pack for Minecraft, by Mojang. Which means that these are replacement textures for the game. This isn't an actual full game. You can buy Minecraft here. :)
Thank You for checking it out!
